The Student Code of Conduct includes important reminders about:

✅ Other student expectations for the school year

Reviewing the Student Code of Conduct before shopping or the first day can help ensure your student is ready for a successful start to the school year.

📅 Manor Middle School students begin classes Tuesday, Aug. 4. All other Killeen ISD students return Monday, Aug. 17.

Field Day is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday and Friday! Please be sure to check the Field Day schedule to know when your child's grade level will participate.

For safety and supervision purposes, our campus and surrounding grounds will be closed to visitors on Field Day. Only approved volunteers will be allowed to assist throughout the day.

In the event of inclement weather, students will engage in indoor field day activities.

This week, some of our 2nd grade dual language students learned how to make a call using a rotary phone. They explored how technology has changed over the years and gained a new appreciation for how things used to work. There was a bit of frustration along the way as they discovered that if they misdialed, they had to start all over—but it made the learning experience even more memorable! History is important. 📞 ☎️ Esta semana, algunos de nuestros estudiantes de segundo grado del programa bilingüe aprendieron a hacer una llamada usando un teléfono de disco. Exploraron cómo la tecnología ha cambiado a lo largo de los años y desarrollaron una nueva apreciación por cómo funcionaban las cosas antes. Hubo un poco de frustración en el proceso al descubrir que, si marcaban un número incorrecto, tenían que comenzar de nuevo, ¡pero eso hizo que la experiencia de aprendizaje fuera aún más memorable! La historia es importante. 📞 ☎️

Thank you to Killeen PD for educating our students on the dangers of technology and social media. Our 5th graders learned important ways to stay safe online, be mindful of what they share, and understand the impact of cyberbullying.
