🌟 Special congratulations to Jaeyoung Cho, who earned the prestigious Outstanding Performer Award for his performance of the Elgar Cello Concerto, Movement IV. Jaeyoung is only the second cellist in program history to receive this honor, making his achievement especially remarkable.

It's Camp Season! Killeen ISD students kicked off a series of robust fine arts experiences this week in theatre, art and music. Check out these shots from Musical Theatre camp yesterday. Union Grove's Theatre 1 students had several fantastic productions of 10 Ways to Survive the End of the World this week. They had audiences in stitches as they troubleshot the end of the world. Congratulations, cast, crew and Mr. Jones on a fantastic event! #killeenfinearts #theatreeducation

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Nolan Middle School's 8th Grade Theatre Showcase Night! This collection of student-written plays had something for everyone. We laughed, we cried, we told lots of jokes. One more night to catch this production this Thursday at 5:30 pm. #killeenfinearts #theatreeducation

This Saturday, students from eleven middle schools competed in the first ever Middle School Theatrical Design Contest. Students created designs for Homer's "The Odyssey" in costume, hair and makeup, marketing or scenic design. Students presented their overall design ideas to our panel of high school theatre directors who provided feedback on their ideas. Students each received a rating on their work. We are thrilled that 26 students from 9 middle schools received the top rating of exemplary! Congratulations to everyone who participated.
